Bianca Andreescu, the Canadian tennis professional, made it to the headlines when she claimed her first Grand Slam victory. As she outclassed the 23 times Grand Slam champion, Serena Williams, to clinch the title at the 2019 US Open. Also, Andreescu became the first Canadian player to win a Grand Slam.
Though not much after that, the Canadian fell prey to persistent injuries and couldn’t make use of her excellent form. Following that, she faced issues regarding her mental well-being. However, now Andreescu is back on the court and has decided to speak about the rough times of her life via a book rather than locking them in a dark room.

The 21-year-old has been though a lot in such a short period of time. Though she believes that all the adversities she faced has helped her grow as a person. Therefore, in order to help people going through similar things, she came up to the book Bibi’s Got Game. The book will soon reach the public as an excited Andreescu wrote, “My book is finally out!! Further, the book tells the story of a young, energetic girl who discovers her love for tennis. But unfortunately, she gets sidelined by the injuries and starts to doubt herself. However, with the help of her family’s encouragement and meditation, she finally recovers her focus and confidence.

Andreescu suffered a knee injury just after her US Open triumph, which threw her out of the circuit. Thereafter, she couldn’t play because of the pandemic, thus leading to a sizeable gap in her career.

The 2019 Canadian Open champion took a mental health break in December 2021. After skipping the Australia-based Grand Slam and the entire hard court season, she made a comeback in the clay.
The former World No.4 played her first tournament of this season in Germany. She tested her luck in the clay courts of Stuttgart Open. Though she faced a second round exit against the former World No.1 Aryna Sabalenka.

Thereafter, Andreescu suffered a similar outcome as the Stuttgart Open in Madrid and marched towards the Italian Open. In Rome, her run was brought to an end in the quarterfinals by the eventual winner, Iga Swiatek. Following that, she gave yet another subpar performance in the red dirt of France.
