American tennis legend Serena Williams recently played her last tennis match. Serena was handling her role as a mother and tennis player side by side. However, as her daughter Olympia turns five, Serena decided to dedicate herself fully to the family. In her retirement essay, Serena used the term ‘evolving away from tennis’ in place of retirement.

Talking of her family, the 41-year-old lives with her husband Alexis Ohanian, and daughter Olympia. While we know all about Serena, Ohanian’s family is lesser talked about. The Reddit cofounder lost his mother back in 2008. In a recent Twitter post, the 39-year-old remembered her. Here’s what he wrote.

Alexis Ohanian dreamed about his mother

Alexis Ohanian’s mother Anke Ohanian passed away in 2008 because of a brain tumor. Recently, the cofounder of Reddit had a vivid dream about his mother. The 39-year-old took to his Twitter account to narrate what he saw.

“I had the most vivid dream of my last decade two nights ago. No clue why. But I saw my mom again. It was awesome. I almost never remember my dreams… and then BOOM,” Ohanian wrote.

He further added, “It was an award ceremony for me or celebration or something and she was there and it was amazing.”

Serena Williams recalls her first meeting with her husband Alexis Ohanian

After her retirement, the next big update Serena came up with was her children’s book. While promoting it, Serena also appeared in the ‘Drew Barrymore Show.’ Here, she recalled how her first meeting with Ohanian turned out into a funny incident.

Serena remembered it was the 2015 Italian Open, and she was at a restaurant in Rome with her coaching staff. Alexis Ohanian was also present there. Although the rest of the place was empty, Serena and her friends didn’t like a stranger in their proximity.

To scare him off, they tried to pull a prank on Ohanian. They said there’s a rat there. However, Ohanian was least bothered about it. When you think about it, it’s funny how she was trying to get rid of Ohanian and ended up marrying him.
