Venus Williams is a name that needs no introduction across the tennis world. With sixteen Grand Slam doubles titles and seven single titles, the former World No. 1 is undoubtedly one of the all-time greats. To add to her legendary list of accolades, the older Williams sister has also been an Olympic gold medalist four times.

Not many knew about the journey of the Williams sisters before the release of the movie ‘King Richard’ this past week. A biographical drama, the movie tells the story of how Richard Williams (played by two-time Oscar nominee Will Smith), the father of the Williams duo, left no stone unturned to etch his daughters’ names into history.

Venus Williams shared the ‘OG’ King Richard’s images

Venus Williams took to Instagram to surprise fans with some never-before-seen images. Calling her father the ‘OG King Richard’, she posted images of the young sisters on the court with their dad. To the fans’ delight, Venus, Serena, and ‘King’ Richard himself are seen gleaming with all smiles in the pictures.

The post and its images only add to the awe that the Williams family warrants. We see Richard Williams all those years ago, teaching and advising his daughters on their game, as he helped them train.

All the big names interacted with Venus’ Instagram post

Venus has made the Instagram post to announce the ‘King Richard capsule collection‘. Simultaneously promoting the movie and her lifestyle brand, she shared her brand’s new clothing line. The new collection is inspired by the clothes worn in the movie by her young counterparts. The post immediately garnered the attention of some of the biggest names in sports and media, with the comment section on Venus’ post rife with praise from other celebrities.

Liked by seven-time Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton himself, Venus post has become the center of attention with the unprecedented images of the sisters and their father. Her sister, 23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams, too, commented on the post, expressing her desire to bag the collection for herself.

“I want!!!!!” reads Serena’s comment.

Additionally, American rapper Quavo, too, commented on the post, saying-
“Movie fire V I love it lol pops crazy as hell but he was ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!!! “
