American tennis legend Serena Williams is in a new phase of her life now. Since her early childhood days, all she has done so far is play tennis. However, her life kept moving outside the court. She married and had a daughter, who is now five years old. As Serena mentioned in her Vogue essay, her daughter was a primary reason for stepping away from tennis. It won’t be wrong to say that the legend wants to enjoy her motherhood after retirement.

While we have seen Olympia many times, we have only seen her a handful of times supporting Serena on the court. Recently, the 23-time major winner spoke about the reason she would not take her daughter to her matches.
Why Serena won’t take Olympia to her matches?
Serena Williams might be a big name in the tennis circuit, but like other mothers, she also has a soft spot for her daughter. The 41-year-old recently revealed that if Olympia is present in her sight while playing a match, she will always be concerned about her more than that match itself.
“Well, I was just afraid I will get distracted. Because I will be like is she drinking? She came to a match once, like super brief and I was like, oh my god, is she wearing sun cream? It’s nuts, so I will get stressed out. I am thinking, oh my goodness, wait a minute, I have got to serve. This makes no sense. So yeah, and I have never really had her to match till last summer, actually,” Serena said.
