Former World No. 1 Simona Halep is all set to take part in the Dubai Duty-Free Tennis Tournament, which starts on the 14th of February. Halep has won this title two times already and will play her first match against Alison Riske from America.
She had a long time partnership with her coach Darren Cahill for six years, before splitting some time back. Cahill had guided her to the top WTA ranking, several grand slam final appearances and also to her first Grand Slam title. She mentions how much Cahill had helped her, both on the court and off it as well.

She recently added Daniel Dobre and Adrian Marcu to her team. But, while she had worked with them before, this time the partnership did not last long and she parted ways with them after her fourth-round loss at the Australian Open.
Simona Halep wants to enjoy her time
Halep missed a considerable part of the tour last year because of a calf muscle injury, but made a strong comeback this season, winning a title in Melbourne, before her Australian Open stint.

“I don’t have a coach right now, I have a sparring partner and he’s travelling with me these days. I didn’t take a decision about the coaching. I’m not looking for a coach, I’m just enjoying my time alone and hopefully, I can do a good job,” Halep said ahead of her first-round match.
