2023 has been difficult so far for Bouchard
Since returning to professional tennis from injury, Bouchard has found it difficult to recover the form that made her such a feared player. The ASB Classic was her first tournament in 2023 but she was in for an early exit. Next, she appeared in the qualifying round of the Australian Open and failed to make it to the finals.
Before heading to Portugal, she participated in the WTA 250 Copa Colsanitas. Again, she failed to go deep into the tournament. Bouchard will certainly hope for better luck in Portugal as she tries hard to get back to the peak of her powers ahead of the 2023 French Open. What do you make of the Canadian’s confidence?
