Iga Swiatek, the polish tennis ace, is the current world no.1 as per the revised WTA rankings released on 4th of April. For the past few weeks, Swiatek has been working really hard to reach where she is now. In fact, on her way to the no.1 ranking, she made some other note-worthy records as well.
Therefore, it won’t be wrong to say that she has earned herself the right to take a little time off the court. In order to maintain the balance between work and life, Swiatek would need some recreation. When speaking of recreation, what’s better than a road trip?

The Pole seems to have secured a soft corner as Nadal wrote to her after sensing that her dismissal from the Australian Open would have shaken her. After all, for a 20-year-old to reach the semis and being thrashed in straight sets is bound to leave some scars. However, the Spaniard’s kind gesture helped her reach the shore as she herself admitted in an interview.
Iga Swiatek on receiving a text from Rafael Nadal following her Australian Open semi-final exit:
"I just felt really motivated. The day after I lost I wanted to come back on court and work harder. I think Rafa's message had a lot to do with that."
