When Halep suffered a panic attack

When the panic attack hits, the only thing you can do is fight your way through it. That’s what Simona Halep tried to do during her second round match in this year’s French Open. Despite being in good form in her second-round match against the 19-year-old Zheng Qinwen of China, Halep could not recover from a panic attack that caused her to lose the game 2-6, 6-2, 6-1.

“It was a panic attack, but I don’t know why it happened because I was leading the match,” said Halep during the post-match presentation.
