Just like Serena Williams, the four-time Grand Slam winner has openly talked about her experience struggling with different mental health problems. Similarly, recently, Osaka dove deeply into the various inner voices that dictate her state of mind.

The former world number one tennis player is off the circuit as she is ready to embrace motherhood for the first time. But even during this important time, she mustered all her strength to discuss how her mental condition on the tennis court differs greatly from that in the actual game called Life.

Naomi Osaka talks about her different inner voices

After struggling with her health struggles for the past few years, Naomi Osaka recently opened up about the biggest deal-breaker related to her mental health. But she is not the first one to have ever opened up about having different kinds of voices inside her head. Just a year ago, the 23-time Grand Slam champion also opened up about the same concern regarding having numerous voices running around in her mind.

Recently, in an interview with Hana Kuma, she opened up about her different types of inner voices, basically two. And explain how one voice is nicer than the other. She said, “I kind of feel like I have two inner voices.”

Further, she detailed how sometimes there is a different kind of voice in her head. “But then, when sometimes, I am on the tennis court, it’s like a different voice that’s a little bit more stern. I would say the very quiet voice is, I hope is Bob Marley; you know like every little things gonna be alright song,” she added.

The 41-year-old American tennis legend, who has won 23 Grand Slam titles, talked about how she also carries different personalities in different ways. Yes, while Osaka talked about different voices in her head related to her mental health struggle, On the other hand, Williams talked about her different personalities based on her witty and brilliant sense of humor.

Williams disclosed last year that she has three distinct personas. Starting with Serena’s sane side, Summer, Megan, who represents Serena’s bad girl side, and Laquanda, whom she refers to as psycho Serena, come next. She went on to say that Summer is her personal assistant and that she resides inside her body. She emphasized how efficient and well-organized Summer is when it comes to her.

Megan, on the other hand, is a bad girl who enjoys having a good time without caring about anything else. Subsequently, while talking about her third personality, Serena, she talked about how she hadn’t seen her in a while, just like Megan. And made light of the fact that these girls act out on the tennis court, ready to fight fiercely. Notably, she closed by stating that the psycho version will not be out any time soon because she is on probation.
