Olympia calls her mother Serena Williams by the name
During a lead-up tournament of the Australian Open 2021, Serena Williams talked about Olympia. She mentioned that her three-year-old daughter is well aware of her profession and her name.

“I know she knows I play tennis, and I know she knows my name,” the 23-time Grand Slam champion said. Moreover, the kid started calling her mother as others addressed her.

Yes, Olympia calls her mother ‘Serena’. She confirmed, “It’s really weird. She’ll be, like, Serena. How do you know my name is Serena? Or she’ll see me on TV and either say ‘Mama’ or ‘Serena.’

For this reason, the four-time Olympic Gold medallist has to keep teaching her three-year-old daughter to call her Mama. “I’m like, you can’t say ‘Serena,’ you have to call me ‘Mama’,” Williams added.

“I don’t know what’s going on in her little head. She knows something’s up. People like ask for autographs or get super excited and she’s like, they’re here for Serena. So she knows something. I just don’t know what,” she explained.
