Former world No. 1 Iga Swiatek, a player who won millions of hearts this season with her tussles on the court, managed to win more fans with an off-court endeavor as well.

Be it the French Open this year where she appreciated the authorities for using a digital aid against negative speech or sharing updates about her regular schedule of prioritizing mental health as much as physical wellbeing. Coming up with another major highlight, the Pole shared an update about a donation that she recently made for a noble cause.

Fans received a great surprise from the former world No.1 as she expressed her dedication to the cause of mental health, stating, “I speak openly about how important it is to me and I want to speak through my actions as well, that’s why this year I will donate 300 000 PLN to UNICEF Poland for help in the field of mental health in Poland and all over the world.”

Along with the major announcement, she shared her thoughts and motivated other people as well. “I would like to encourage you to have a look around and see if there’s someone there who could use your help. You can make a donation of your choice to organizations like UNICEF that professionally help people (if you’re able to).”

The announcement was undoubtedly a positive act and also acts as a motivation for other players and young tennis enthusiasts to develop an attitude of giving back. However, Iga isn’t the first tennis figure who came forward to donate to a noble cause.
