Jessica Pegula showed a great performance in the 2023 season. The American player achieved many top 5 victories and won her second Masters title. She, however, has not been able to show her great form coming into the 2024 season. As she aims to return to form, Pegula announced that she has split with her coach, leaving many in shock.

In 2019, the two joined hands, and Pegula rose quickly from the top 100 to the top 50 and then eventually rose to rank 3 in 2022. She experienced immense growth under Witt, which is why their split comes off as a bit of a curveball.

One user said that no coach seems to be safe, regardless of the sport.
