‘I’m Waiting’- Paula Badosa Drops Major Hint on Her Engagement With Renowned Actor-Model

Paula Badosa has been vocal about her relationship with model Juan Betancourt. The two confirmed their relationship publically in September last year. With Badosa uploading a post of them, together. However, now the Spaniard wants to take the next step. Recently, while playing at the Tie Break Tens in the Indian Wells, World No. 7 expressed her wish of getting engaged, saying, “I’m waiting.”

Juan Betancourt is an actor-model born in Cuba. Moving to Spain at the age of 18, Juan entered the modeling world. In a career spanning more than a decade, Juan has modeled for top brands like Giorgio Armani, Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, etc. He has also been the face of top fashion magazines like GQ Brazil, Elle Man Vietnam, and GQ.

Badosa wants to get engaged

Playing at the Tie Break Tens in Indian Wells, Paula lost 10-6 to Amanda Anisimova in the semifinals. Even though the two indulged in some high-quality hitting, it was Paula’s post-match interview that took the limelight. In the interview, Paula spoke about her relationship with Juan and expressed her wish to get engaged soon.

She said, “I’m getting into it. Maybe in a few…a year or something I will get engaged. I don’t know, I’m waiting, ” she said, showing her empty ring finger.

Going gala over the clip, Tie Break Tens took to their Instagram uploading the clip. They titled the post, “Paula means business! Juan BetanCourt – it’s time to go 💍💍 shopping! No pressure, you have ‘a year or so’.”

Paula Badosa started her 2022 season with a first-round loss to Victoria Azarenka at the WTA 500 Adelaide International 1. However, she made a comeback at the WTA 500 Sydney Tennis Classic. Entering the tournament as the 5th seed, Badosa cruised past her opponents, reaching the finals. In the finals, she faced 3rd seeded Barbora Krejcikova. The Czech player stood toe-to-toe with Paula, leaving no room for error. However, composing her game, it was Paula who took the match and won her first title of 2022 at the Sydney Open.

Having a confidence boost from her previous win, Badosa entered the Australian Open as the 8th seed. Showing a decent performance in the initial rounds, Badosa entered the 4th round, facing American Madison Keys. Even though the Spaniard tried to get control over the match, it was Madison who took the victory to her side, beating Paula in straight sets.

She further faced a first-round exit in Dubai and a second-round exit in Qatar. Having high hopes for herself, Badosa is back at the WTA 1000 BNP Paribas Open (Indian Wells), to defend her title. Entering the tournament as the 5th seed, Badosa will start her campaign from the second round.
