The round of 128 games of the Indian Wells Masters has managed to keep fans on the edge of their seats with some spectacular showdowns. It is a part of the WTA 1000 category and features some of the biggest names on the women’s tour competing for the outdoor hardcourt championship. As the first-round games have been concluded, the tennis community will now be treated to some exciting round-of-64 matches at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.

The 2021 Grand Slam champion, Emma Raducanu, will square off against the 30th-seeded Ukrainian, Dayana Yastremska. With two top WTA players of high caliber looking to make a deep run, it will be interesting to see who emerges victorious in their confrontation at ‘Tennis Paradise.’

After a lackluster campaign at the Qatar Open, where she faced a first-round defeat, Emma Raducanu now looks to make amends at the BNP Paribas Open. Entering the tournament as an unseeded participant, the British tennis star breezed past her Spanish opponent Rebeka Masarova in straight sets of their round 128 match.

Dayana Yastremska, on the other hand, is coming to the Indian Wells Open after her round-of-16 defeat at the San Diego Open. The Ukrainian player is the 30th seed, and she has directly secured a spot in the round of 64 main draw of the WTA 1000 tournament.

Raducanu vs Yastremska: Head-to-Head

The round-of-64 match between Emma Raducanu and Dayana Yastremska at the outdoor hard court event will also mark their second meeting on the women’s circuit. In their previous encounter at the Zavarovalnica Sava Portoroz, the British player overcame Yastremska, and she currently has a 1-0 lead in their H2H record.
