This is a major worry coming out from her camp, with the match against Kerber just hours away. With the condition she is in, it is anticipated that Wozniacki may not continue further in the tournament.

It is particularly shocking to note her condition, given that she was 100% fit after her match against Katie Volynets yesterday. However, the Danish star had to dig deep in that match and required three sets to overcome her American opponent.

She said, “The dream is to win it obviously, I’ve worked hard to be here, to be back at this stage – I didn’t think I’d be back here. It’s really a bonus, I’m just really grateful to be out here but I really feel like I’m playing well so why not me?”

It remains to be seen how Wozniacki performs this year. However, for now, she will hope that her injury isn’t too serious and she gets back on the court again soon.
