It is turning out to be a tournament of massive upsets in Indian Wells. The men’s draw has opened up with the likes of Daniil Medvedev, Alexander Zverev, Stefanos Tsitsipas bowing out of the BNP Paribas Open.
Similarly, in the women’s section, Aryna Sabalenka, Naomi Osaka, Garbine Muguruza have all made early exits. Further, the fourth seed in women’s singles, Anett Kontaveit bowed out of the tournament after losing her third-round match against Marketa Vondrousova of the Czech Republic.

American rapper, Snoop Dogg, live-streamed the match. Apparently, he is a huge fan of Anett Kontaveit and follows her matches closely.

The American rapper looked disappointed as the Estonian bowed out of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells. Additionally, he vent out his frustration as Kontaveit’s forehand went wide as Vondrousova won the match point. He said, “Look at this… F**k… F**k this s**t man.”

In windy conditions in Indian Wells, Anett Kontaveit started her third-round encounter against Marketa Vondrousova brightly. Further, she raced to a quick 4-1 lead in the first set. The lead proved to be enough as she eventually won the opening set 6-3.
However, Vondrousova came back strongly to break Kontaveit’s serve in the second game of the second set. But the Estonian broke back to level the second-set 3-3. Serving to stay in the second set in the twelfth game, Kontaveit lost her service game as Vondrousova won the set 7-5.

Further, the deciding set was a keenly fought affair. Both the players tried to apply pressure on their opponent’s serves. With the match going into the deciding set tiebreaker, Vondrousova won some crucial points to enter the fourth round. She is up against Veronika Kudermetova in the pre-quarterfinals, and her match is currently underway with Kudermetova winning the opening set.
