The stage is all set in California to kick-start the tennis festival at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. Taylor Townsend had a stellar season last year in doubles. Then two years later, Townsend won the AO junior tournament.

However, the 27-year-old Chicago-born tennis star didn’t have a great start to her 2024 campaign. Although she managed to reach the R16 at the Adelaide Internationals, Townsend was shown the exit door in her first match at the 2024 Australian Open by Paula Badosa. She faced a similar early exit in her next tournament in Puerto Vallarta. But Townsend finally sealed a victory in her first match at the ATX Open but got defeated in her next match at the hands of China’s Yue Yuan.
