Indian Wells 2024: Girl Power in Full Display as Coco Gauff and Aryna Sabalenka Serve Looks to the Camera

Coco Gauff, Aryna Sabalenka and other WTA stars have already landed in California to take part in the 2024 BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells which kick-starts on March 6. Recently, they were spotted showcasing some of their beautiful poses during a photo shoot session for the tournament at the ‘Tennis Paradise‘.

Earlier, Aryna Sabalenka was seen making an appearance at the VIP opening day of the Frieze Los Angeles Art Fair at Santa Monica Airport. The Belarusian tennis beauty immersed herself in the stunning artwork on display. Whereas, Coco Gauff was recently spotted playing soccer and American football with her team. They’re enjoying their time in the Californian Desert. Their excitement for the mega event was reflected through their expressions during the photoshoot.

Aryna Sabalenka was the finalist last year. In fact, she had defeated Coco Gauff in the QF to make her way to the semis. Can the 19YO local favorite turn the tables this time around? Well, Coco Gauff has made a strong start to her campaign in the 2024 season. She defended her ASB Classic title earlier this year and reached the SF of the AO. But then got lost to this same rival from Belarus. After that, her Middle East swing didn’t turn out too well for the American.

However, Sabalenka will be stepping onto the court after a stellar triumph at the AO earlier this year. Although she had a minor hiccup before landing in California at the Dubai Tennis Championships. But that’s past now. She looked in a good mood while showcasing her dance moves in an all-black outfit while posing for the photoshoots for the Indian Wells tournament. Coco Gauff on the other hand was spotted in a florescent green outfit with a purple hairband serving a flying kiss to the camera.

Although Aryna Sabalenka is named to be a clear favorite for this tournament at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. But Coco Gauff would love to make her 20th birthday memorable in front of her home crowd. Gauff will turn 20 on March 13. Last year she received a warm gesture from the crowd as they all sang ‘Happy Birthday‘ for the American tennis sensation. Then she went on to add, “Yeah, I’m going to do my best to do good recovery. Yeah, make sure that I prepare myself as good as I can for that match, because, yeah, it’s going to be a great battle.” 

Aryna Sabalenka later defeated Coco Gauff by 6-4,6-0 in the quarterfinal match. What will happen this year if they face each other yet again? Can Coco Gauff take her revenge after her recent AO defeat or will Sabalenka have the last laugh yet again?
