How has Andreescu performed this season?

With injuries affecting her career post the US Open win, Andreescu has failed to replicate the form shown earlier. This season too, the Canadian star has had early exits from the tournaments. Additionally, she has disappointed in the Grand Slams too. Her best performance in majors this year has been a third-place finish at the French Open and Wimbledon.

Meanwhile, the 23-year-old was involved in a controversial defeat at the Citi Open. During the third set, Andreescu refused to play as a noisy spectator disrupted the match. The security intervened and the match resumed a while later. Andreescu will look to find her lost form as she aims to dig deep at the US Open coming up later this month.
