The American tennis icon Venus Williams has been one of the most popular figures in the sporting realm. However, the 7-time singles Grand Slam champion has surprised her fans by revealing that she rarely follows any sport on television. In doing so, Williams also revealed that she only watches TV in order to follow her interest in watching reality shows.
During a recent interview, Williams listed a few of the well-known TV programs that make her turn on the television. As a result, the WTA star opened up about how dark shows like Dexter “hurt” her heart.

Venus Williams talked about the popular television series, Dexter
The 7-time singles Grand Slam champion was recently featured in an interview with her coach Eric Hechtman. During the interview, Hechtman asked Venus Williams if she watches soccer on her television. However, the American tennis star surprised her coach by revealing that she rarely watches soccer or any other sports.
When it comes to watching TV, Williams revealed that she turns it on as she follows some popular reality shows. Meanwhile, Hechtman asked Williams if she also watches dark TV series like the American crime drama, Dexter. The WTA player stated, “not dark stuff it simply breaks my heart. No, I won’t I can’t. It hurts my heart I can’t. He literally makes me so sad.”
Later on, Hechtman talks about the main character of the crime drama, who commits heinous crimes. He further tried to gauge Williams’ sentiments towards the character by asking her, “Is it good or bad?”
She answered by saying, “It’s bad. That show killed me. Did his sister ever find him out? Spoiler.”
In doing so, Williams tried to find out about one of the cliffhangers of the American crime drama television series. The tennis star was further surprised when her coach told her about what actually happened in the other episodes.
What other TV shows does Williams watch?
While talking about TV shows, Williams revealed that she likes to watch Love Is Blind, a popular show. The dating reality television series has been streaming on the renowned platform, Netflix. The American tennis player also named a French reality show, The Circle.
She said, “um what else I’ve been watching ‘The Circle’. this TV show called The Circle in French. this would have been a rough go of it. I’ve been working on getting past episode one for a week or two. Ten minutes at a time maybe.”
