Serena Williams reveals how Venus boosted her self-confidence

During the ‘Black Girls Texting Podcast’, Serena talked about a variety of subjects in her career. When asked about why confidence bothers some people, Serena said, “People are afraid when you can do something and they’ll tell you that you can’t and they take, they must take confidence for something else and when someone tells you that you can’t do something that’s really them saying that you can’t do it, they can’t do it and so, in other words, they’re putting that into people saying that you can’t do it and no actually you can’t it’s not me.”

Further, she added, “Venus said that and it really resonated with me so much and I was like that makes, that’s like the best thing I’ve heard and so and it’s so true so yeah I just feel like people if you want to have confidence then that’s okay to have confidence you know.”

Along with their exploits in tennis, the Williams sisters are also successful businesswomen. Recently, they invested in a European social and community-based investment app, Shares.

Furthermore, Serena and Venus have also become the company’s first brand ambassadors. The company’s app was launched in May 2022. Since then, it has gained massive popularity, garnering over 150,000 users.
