On a cozy day, Kissick preferred proposing to Barty on the couch with their puppies. It was the “perfect” occasion for them, according to the two-time Grand Slam champion.

Ashleigh Barty and Kissick got engaged on 15th November, as revealed by her fiance in an Instagram post.

Talking about how Kissick proposed, Barty said, “Garry and I have been together for a long time now and I had designed the ring with him. We are obviously excited now for the next chapter. We were at home on the couch with the puppies. It was very much just us.”

Describing the adorable moment, she added, “It was perfect for us. Everyone has their unique way of doing it. It was perfectly suited to us. That’s just me and who I am and who we are together.”

It appears that the lovely couple likes to keep things simple. Barty and Kissick announced their engagement after almost five years of relationship. The couple, and their puppies, also recently moved to Brisbane and Barty is excited to start that chapter of her life with her to-be husband.

Ashleigh Barty is ready to make her comeback to professional tennis. After suffering a third-round loss at US Open 2021, Barty decided to take a leave from competitive tennis. She then traveled back to Australia to be with her friends and family.
