The dramatic side of the Williamsverse
Serena is often regarded as one of the greatest players of all time. However, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that even the best of best players faces dark phases in their careers. Serena is no different. Dominating women’s tennis in her prime, Serena was invincible. However, just like many other great athletes, she has suffered slumps in form and has gone through injury-laden seasons throughout her career. However, not losing hope, the American stayed firm on her approach. Steadily reviving from the dark phase, Serena once again rose to the top, again becoming the World No. 1 and winning Majors.
Taking the dark phase into consideration, Serena admitted that if ever a biopic on her is made, it would be full of drama. The current World No. 243 further confessed that the biopic would be a telenovela. “I had a rough journey. I didn’t do well and then I did. It’s a lot of drama. It’s a telenovela” she said.
