Caroline Wozniacki dropped a cheeky statement while being asked about her taped calf. After an impressive performance at the Charleston Open tournament defeating Mccartney Kessler, This former world’s number-one tennis star is now preparing her game against Anhelina Kalinina. However, the tennis fraternity was intrigued by Wozniacki’s taped calf which brought a lot of curiosity among fans regarding this Danish professional tennis player’s fitness and form.

Wozniacki couldn’t fulfill her Indian Wells journey this season as she had to retire because of an injury in her right foot.  However, she is spotted making up for that loss in the Charleston Open. Nevertheless, Wozniacki’s amusing response showcases the quirky side of her character.

Wozniacki attended an interview with the Tennis Channel, where she delved deeper into her injury, Charleston Open win, and many other facts. However, her response to the interviewer’s question about her calf surely took her fans to a toll of laughter. Tennis Channel’s interviewer asked him-“We do see that your calf is taped. What is that going on there? And how is it feeling”  While fans expected a serious response, Wozniacki said- “I think it’s called getting old.

Caroline Wozniacki is thirty-three-years-old which makes her quite a pro and mature WTA professional in the community. However, there is no right age to turn pro or retire in tennis. It mostly depends on the players’ form and physical; fitness. For Wozniacki, her right foot injury might be a problem but the way she performed well at the Charleston Open, fans have a lot of expectations from her.

This Danish WTA professional had an unexpected turnout at the BNP Paribas Open against Iga Swiatek. She had to retire early due to her injury and her opponent Iga Swiatek was also disappointed about how the situation turned out during that match.

Caroline Wozniacki’s injury-stricken loss made Swiatek feel “not the best way to win”

Caroline Wozniacki’s absence from her match with Iga Swiatek at the Indian Wells tournament this season gave Swiatek a chance to move forward to the tournament by bringing a 6-4, 1-0 victory over Wozniacki. But, as the reason for Wozniacki’s absence was a bad foot injury, Swiatek seems quite upset for the Danish player.

Swiatek said– “I’m hoping that Caroline will be better and she’ll be ready for Miami, it’s not the best way to win. But I’m happy that I played well enough in first set to win it. For sure it was tight. At the beginning we had many longer rallies, so I felt like I needed to be solid and be ready. At the end I’m happy that I used the chances in the last games.”

Caroline Wozniacki’s cheeky response to the question related to her taped calf expressed serious concern over her fitness. However, the way she responded to the question with adorable laughter, fans understood that Wozniacki was not in the mind to encounter any more setbacks.
