‘It’s Women Who Have Carried the Crown’ – Serena Williams’ Husband Alexis Ohanian Uncloaks How He Will Change the Face of American Soccer With His $100 Million Initiative

Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian has always been supportive of the women in his family. Even in the professional sphere, he has shown his support for women’s sports by investing in the well-known soccer team, Angel City FC. He has always stood up for the women’s soccer team despite their inconsistent performances in the National Women’s Soccer League.

Recently, the renowned entrepreneur stated that his soccer club is on the right track, as they will reach unprecedented heights. He further revealed how his women’s soccer team will change the face of American soccer.

Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian, talked about his soccer club

The Reddit cofounder is very active on social media, especially on Twitter, as he loves to converse with his fans. He further shares updates regarding his personal and professional endeavors. Recently, he talked about his women’s soccer team, Angel City FC.

Ohanian took to Twitter as he talked about his investment plans for women’s sport. He stated, “I said what I said @weareangelcity.” The Reddit co-founder also shared a video clip. Ohanian stated, “What I saw on that pitch as I had a few drinks later that night and started re-tweeting, I realized this was the most obvious, best, best sports investment I could make right now it was so obviously undervalued because we associate when we think of American soccer excellence. we think of the women.”

Ohanian also stated that the sport is currently undervalued considering the success and achievements of women soccer teams in the United States.

Ohanian went on to say, “We love greatness in sports. And when we think of the sport of soccer as a proper sport in the world, it’s women who have carried the crown for us, and now we’re giving them the stage they deserved.”

Ohanian’s family are co-owners of the soccer team

 Alexis Ohanian is a lead investor in Angel City FC, which was established back in 2020. Apart from Ohanian, the other family members, including his wife, Serena Williams and daughter, Olympia Ohanian, also have ownership in the soccer club.

They all love the sport and we have seen them supporting the club in various matches. Williams’ daughter also likes to play soccer as she was previously spotted playing the game with her father. She also recently attended soccer practice with her mom, who also volunteered as a soccer coach during the practice.
