Aryna Sabalenka and Paula Badosa are certified ‘soulmates’. The two tennis stars have shown glimpses of their friendship in the last few years. The duo, however, has now evolved into a trio, as Ons Jabeur gets involved in the banter. Although the three are enjoying the new bond they have formed, Sabalenka can’t help but throw shade at Badosa and Jabeur.

The Spaniard began the saga when a clip of her calling Jabeur her best friend caught the internet by storm. Jabeur, elated over the statement, asked the cameraman to “Send me the tape“. Her intentions were nefarious as she tagged Saba on her Instagram story with “Sorry” as the caption. When Saba noticed the clip shared by Jabeur, she re-shared it with the caption, “OK bye @pulabadosa You lost me now!!!!“.

The Spaniard went into overdrive, ensuring she could secure her friendship, and said, “But.. Where were you after my match? @sabalenka_aryna I love you both ok?The drama continued, but the three eventually resolved their differences when Badosa and Jabeur clicked a picture with Saba. The Belarusian beauty shared it on her Instagram story, answering a fan who asked, “Badosa or Jabeur“. She responded, “Hmmmmmm IDK 🤷🏻‍♀️ I feel like I’ve been eliminated from our group 😭“.

Putting jokes aside, she showed affection to the two as she wrote, “Love this two a lot 🤷🏻‍♀️😂❤️“. After all the drama, Sabalenka has made a place in her heart for Jabeur, who threatened to take her mantle.

The mock jealousy and the poking is a classic sign that Badosa and Sabalenka are good friends, which is difficult to find on tour. The entire drama started with Badosa calling Jabeur her best friend. However, it ended with the two creating a new trio.

The ‘Friendship” triangle is alive and kicking!

Badosa shared an Instagram story featuring herself alongside Sabalenka and Jabeur. She labeled it “Friendship,” with heart symbols. She captioned the photo with “laughing emojis” to indicate how much fun they had away from the court. However, Jabeur took the story a step further when she uploaded the image on social media.

The photo not only introduced Jabeur as a new member of Sabalenka and Badosa’s circle, but it also captured a moment of laughter and connection. While the saga started with mock jealousy, it evolved into new bonds. The three will likely be seen together often around the tour, but anyone coming between Sabadosa is highly unlikely.
