As the 29-year-old tennis player is back on the athletic front, as she will be seen playing in the Indian Wells tournament, the first thing she did after coming back to the court was to send a message to her fans, regarding whether she is pregnant or not.

She took to her Instagram account to share a picture, of the tennis court with her racket. Along with that, she minimalistically mentioned a three-word message for all the people who were thinking that she was pregnant, and wrote, “Not pregnant.Lol”

Not only with the tennis court picture of her sitting with the racket, she declined all the rumors by herself, but she even made it clear with her three-word message. Although Pegula is one of those tennis players who is quite calm and composed, not only on the court but while handling a lot of other issues, this time, rather than letting the rumor fade by itself, she makes sure to end it from her end.

However, the American tennis player has a strong belief that pregnancy can make a better athlete. A few months ago, she even praised Elina Svitolina‘s tennis game post-pregnancy during the US Open.

Pegula believes pregnancy is a nice tennis reset

Last year, during the US Open, in the third round of the tournament, the American went against the Ukrainian tennis player and halted her comeback hopes with her victory. But at the same time, in a press conference, she also addressed how the 29-year-old tennis player’s post-pregnancy return and her maternity leave have given her a good reset time.

She said, “The last few times I played her before she had her baby, she seemed like a little run down, I feel like. So, I don’t know, maybe her getting pregnant was good timing for her to go back and reset.” Along with that, she also highlighted how she has seen some similar instances, including Caroline Wozniacki, who also had a good reset as a player, after becoming a mother.
