Serena Williams is leading a blissful life with her husband, Alexis Ohanian, and daughter Olympia. However, had someone said this a decade ago to the player, she would have scoffed at that idea. The player had come out of a very serious relationship with rapper Common. She felt dejected and stated that she did not have great luck when it came to love.

However, as things have panned out, we know that the player’s story ends up otherwise. She dotes on her daughter and her husband admires her both on and off the court.

Serena Williams once gave up on love 

Tennis star Serena Williams has had her fair share of dating experiences before settling down. The player had given up on love after breaking up with rapper Common. The couple had ended on good terms, however; she did not feel that she had any good luck in love.

Talking about the same in an old interview, she said, “I’ve given up on dating. The last relationship was just too much of a heartbreak for me.” She had gone to the extremes of giving up on dating in the future. Williams said, “I have to remove myself from that atmosphere for about the next decade or so.” She further said, “I’ve just had bad luck in love. If it doesn’t work, just leave it alone, right?”

However, she did not know that she would meet the Reddit co-founder after that and they will have a beautiful daughter, Olympia.

Williams is focusing on other aspects of her life after retirement

Serena Williams retired after a glorious career that spanned for 27 years in tennis. The player wants to spend more time with her daughter now and wishes to have a bigger family and have more children. Even during her career, the player had pursued various other fields, where she had excelled, like fashion, clothing, and capital venture.

After her retirement, she attended a Michael Kors fashion show in a stunning pink suit. Now, without the hectic schedule of tennis, she often uploads stories of her having a blast with her daughter.
