Venus Williams and Serena Williams are the epitomai of success. However, despite playing alone on the court, the two have a list of people who helped them be the best. Taking the top two spots in the list is their father, Richard Williams, and former coach, Rick Macci.

During the early days of the sisters, Richard and Macci worked together to make sure they turned out to be championships when they entered the tennis court. During their time together, Macci and Richard had several memorable incidents. Recently, Macci recalled one such incident.

A crazy Richard Williams breaks his racket

The ones who have been following the Williams sisters from the start are aware of the relationship between Richard and Rick Macci. Working on Serena and Venus, the two, time and again indulged in banters, most of which were hilarious ones. However, despite all the banters, the two made sure to maintain their deep bond and work together on the Williams sisters.

Even though Richard pulled out her daughters from Macci’s academy in 1995, they continue to share a strong bond with each other. The proof of which is Macci’s regular posts surrounding Richard Williams.

Apart from being one of the most renowned tennis coaches around the globe, Macci is also known for its massive social media presence. The 67-year-old regularly takes to his social media handles to give his views on the matters concerned. He also often uses the platform to walk down memory lane.

Recently, he took to his Twitter handle, uploading a Tweet. In the tweet, the star coach recalled an incident where Richard broke his racquet in frustration. Sharing the incident, Macci wrote, “Richard Williams one day broke a racquet on court as he got so mad. Five minutes later he said Rick can I use your racquet a crazy person broke mine. Love this guy.”

This is just one case. Similar to this, Macci time and again keeps taking to his social media handles to recall his incidents with Macci. The star coach last met the sisters at the premiere of ‘King Richard’.

While the sisters and Macci continue their tennis, that hasn’t been the case with Richard. Suffering two strokes in 2016, Richard further became a patient with dementia and irreparable brain damage. It was reported that he now lives at one of the oases of Serena. However, his accurate location remains unknown.
