‘King Richard’ Star Will Smith Brings Up Infamous Oscars Controversy With a Weird TikTok Video

Will Smith, the Oscar-winning American actor, recently made fun of his Oscar win and the controversial ‘slapgate’ incident. He recently shared a TikTok video in which he was seen moving on from the incident and cracking a lighthearted joke about it.

The 54-year-old actor won the Oscar for his role in King Richard. He played the main character, which was the role of Venus and Serena Williams’ father. And that film won the actor his most awaited trophy. However, things didn’t go well for ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ actor and he landed up in a terrible controversy during the same event.

Smith recently shared a TikTok duet in which he was seen listening to another TikTok user. The TikTok user explained how every non-living object also has the possibility to tell you what they think of you.

As the TikTok user completes her hypothesis about using non-living objects to analyze what our mind thinks of certain situations, the Oscar-winning actor proceeds to grab his Academy Award. He looks at it, gesturing as if he is asking it a question. The video grabbed a lot of attention and amazed his fans with the light-hearted jab.

Notably, it’s quite clear what the American actor wants to ask his trophy about that infamous night that he can never forget.

The infamous slap gate incident involving the American actor and Chris Rock took everyone by surprise. He slapped the host on national television. The incident created a stir in the Hollywood industry, with many notable figures criticizing the legendary actor for his reckless behavior. Now that enough time has passed, many have empathized with Smith. However, there was a time when the 23-time Grand Slam champion’s half-sister heavily criticized the actor’s behavior.

The former world number one’s half-sister, Sabrina Williams, almost a year ago, shared her opinion about the incident. Notably, her reaction to the incident was similar to that of most people; she didn’t approve of the 54-year-old actor’s behavior on the stage. She believed that there were many cool ways to deal with the issue, but the actor who played her father in the movie went overboard and insulted the other well-known personality. Additionally, she also made a very harsh remark, stating that the actor should be stripped of the Oscars for his act.
