Serena Williams’ retirement may be the end of an era on the court, but this does not mean that the American legend is done. The former world number one has shown how she can focus and go for anything she wants to do and be. She was determined to be a tennis legend, and she surely did turn out to be one.

Williams became a household name and is also known as a cultural figure other than her being a tennis legend. Her physicality is still unmatched and her fashion sense on and off the court has drawn even more attention. Her husband Alexis Ohanian recently opened up about how Serena’s evolution from tennis will make her glorified in other arenas.

 The Reddit co-founder hinted that her evolution will be the beginning of something great. In a recent interview, he talked about how sports has grown significantly with the tennis ace. He said, “Many people, I think, realized just how much is going to be missing from not just the sport of tennis but sport with her; you know, evolving out of it.”

 He further talked about how great Williams will do in other things after tennis. He said, “But the good news is she’s kicked down. She hasn’t even kicked down the door, she’s knocked down the entire building right and built something even bigger that has opened up for so many more athletes, so many more people across so many disciplines.”
