While speaking to Jon Guerrica, Evert shared a lot of stories from her tennis days and spoke about the ups and downs of both her personal and professional life. She also addressed how Billie Jean King has always been an excellent advisor to her. Evert said, “Billie Jean has always been like a mentor to me and is the wisest person I know, and she has always given me a lot of advice.”

Thereafter, she shared how King’s wise words helped her when she was dealing with a breakup. She said, “I remember when Jimmy and I were breaking up our engagement. She goes this is the right thing, you have to grow up and you have to really know yourself before you are in a relationship. So she gave me always advice my relationship.” Jimmy Connor and Chris Evert were dating in the late 70s and were about to tie the knot, but after Evert’s abortion, they parted their ways.
Further, the former world no.1 jokingly said, “She even gave me advice on the funniest thing. She gave me advice on how to raise kinds and she never had kids.”

Chris Evert was diagnosed with 1C ovarian cancer during a preventive hysterectomy in January 2022. As soon as cancer surfaced, Evert decided to pursue medical help. Following that, she informed her fans about the same. And since then her fans have been eagerly waiting for some positive updates about her health.
Recently she took on Twitter to break joyful news to her fans. The 67-year-old informed her fans that she has successfully completed six chemotherapy sessions. Chris shared a clip of hers accepting the completion certificate and ringings the chimes for goodwill.
