Isha Price empathized with the winner Serena Williams after she took down Venus in the 2003 Wimbledon finals

The five sisters, Yetunde, Lyndrea, and Isha Price, and Venus and Serena Williams have always been each other’s closest ones. They saw each other grow and the Price sisters always backed Venus and Serena Williams on the court. However, during the Wimbledon finals in 2003, Price could not maintain her neutrality.

Venus Williams suffered an injury. Consequently, this created a setback for her in the finals. Serena Williams herself was concerned for her sister throughout the match. However, the only time she set out a sigh of relief was after the match.

Even then, she went and asked her sister how was she doing. Seeing her sister suffer took a toll on Serena but she fought through and came out victorious. As reported by Washington Post, this also led her to say that Venus was “tougher than I ever thought she was.”??

But Price saw how the little sister was suffering too. She stated, “I think it had to be rougher on Serena.” She added, “Knowing someone you love is in pain but knowing you still have to fight.” The Williams sisters have always brought out each other’s best performance on the court.
