A plethora of tennis fans know about Venus and Serena Williams’ parents, Richard Williams and Oracene Price. However, only a few know about their stepmother, Lakeisha Williams, and her lengthy legal battles to secure their $1.45 million Florida Mansion. During their divorce, Richard Williams accused Lakeisha of faking his signature in order to remove his name from the property records and borrow a loan from a lender.
Additionally, the lender, David Simon, further accused the Williams sisters’ stepmother of defaulting a certain amount of borrowed loan. Since then, Lakeisha has been constantly fighting legal battles in order to save the Williams sisters’ childhood home. However, in the recent hearing, Lakeisha was finally given a chance to save the Florida mansion.

Venus and Serena Williams’ stepmother was given a chance to pay off her debts
After facing accusations from Richard Williams for forging his signature, Lakeisha has made her best efforts to save the $1.45 Million Florida Mansion. Notably, she previously filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy three times in order to save the Williams sisters’ crumbling childhood home. The mansion was on the edge of being sold at an auction in order to pay the huge debt.
However, a recent court ruling surprised everyone by announcing the decision to hold on to the final decision of Lakeisha’s $500,000 bankruptcy case. They further stated that another hearing will be held on December 1 that will decide the fate of the Florida mansion. The Williams sisters’ crumbling childhood home in Florida has been part of the Williams family since 1995.

Serena Williams’ father previously accused Lakeisha of faking his signature in order to get a $255,000 loan from the lender David Simon. Reportedlu, she wanted to borrow that sum to start a trucking business. However, Simon has constantly pushed for the mansion to be placed in auctions by stating that it is uninsurable because of the physical state of the mansion.
Serena has a hidden karaoke room in one of her properties
The 23-time singles Grand Slam champion has previously revealed that she loves to perform karaoke with her friends and family. Karaoke performances have been a part of Serena’s life, as it has been her favorite activity since her childhood. Additionally, the American tennis legend has taken her love for karaoke to a whole new level.

The 7-time Wimbledon champion once revealed that her Florida mansion has a secret room that is only meant for karaoke performances. She further revealed that only karaoke singers are allowed to enter the room that has a small stage that is built for karaoke performances.
