American tennis prodigy Coco Gauff‘s surprising comment about the fans during her recent Australian Open match has brought a toll of laughter. Gauff recently earned her victory against Magdalena French from Poland in the round 16 of the tournament.  Now following her epic performance, Gauff received many cheers from the audience. However, it looks like some of that excitement was also for Australian tennis legend Rod Laver, who was present at the scene.

After Gauff’s victory, this US Open champion made a hilarious statement. On asking about Rod Laver’s presence at her match, Gauff responded with humor and playfulness mentioning that she thought it was for her and French. Sharing this clip, this source added-” ‘𝑰 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒂 𝒈𝒐 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒆𝒔’ Coco Gauff has defeated Magdalena Fręch, and she now progresses to the Quarter-finals! #AusOpen” 

In this clip,  Gauff said- “Ah luckily when I noticed he came I was too nervous but I was like that you guys were clapping and I was like I know it’s not for us. It’s for like only the person and then I saw the screen and I was like ok makes sense so really really really thanks for coming to my match.”
