American tennis legend Chris Evert had a life full of ups and downs. Even after achieving almost everything on the tennis court, the 67-year-old had difficulties in her personal life.

In 2009, the legendary tennis player split with her then-husband, Andy Mill. Later she married former Australian golfer Greg Norman.

Norman back then was married to Laura Andrassy. While Evert had a silent divorce, Norman had to pay a huge price for the same.

How much did Norman pay to be with Evert?

As per the reports, the former golfer was involved with Evert when he was still married to Andrassy. When she got to know about the same, things went bitter. She was not happy and the divorce battle continued for a long time. Repeatedly, the Aussie paid a huge sum of $103 million in cash and millions more in payments to his children.

He finally married Evert in 2009. However, the two didn’t get along quite well and their marriage ended after only 15 months. While Norman never spoke about it, Evert once revealed that they ended on good terms.

“I want to be with my kids, live in a nice, comfortable house, and be able to do my work. One of us would have had to give up a big part of our life. My priority was my kids. His priority was to build his business and travel,” she said.

Evert has not married again since then, while Norman married for the third time in 2010 and is with Kirsten Kutner now.

Evert was romantically involved with former British tennis star John Lloyd. The two married in 1979 and had a long relationship before they ended up things in 1987. Thereafter, the 18-time Grand Slam champion tied the knot with Alpine ski racer, Andy Mill, in 1988.

It was her longest marriage and the couple have three sons, Alexander, Nicholas, and Colton. After almost 19 years of marriage, she split with Mill to marry Greg Norman.
