However, bereavement is not the only feeling she is left with. Mihailova is left with much uncertainty about her future and her children’s future, as she revealed in a recent interview.

Koltsov’s passing away is heartbreaking for many. He had three children, Daniel, Alexander, and Stefan, who are mourning the passing away of their father. Mihailova worked as a realtor but could not manage her children’s finances all by herself. Therefore, Koltsov’s demise also leaves a huge question about their lives in the USA.

In a recent interview, she talked about going back to Belarus with his remains. “We collect all the documents to transport Konstantin’s remains to Belarus. Minsk is his homeland, there is his brother, relatives. I have a lot of friends there, I’m on good terms with Kostya’s parents. And our children have Belarusian citizenship. Let’s see how it goes.”

She further talked about how their future in the US is murky. “Life in the USA is expensive; I don’t know where we’ll find ourselves. While the children have a school here, and it will be visible there. Now we have to solve a lot of issues that, of course, we have not encountered before.”

Aside from her passing, another piece of news from Sabalenka kicked up a whirlwind of speculation. She shared a post to address Koltsov’s passing as she broke her silence after the news went live.

After the news of his demise went live, fans of the two-time Australian Open champion rushed to her social media page to give her their condolences and hoped that she would get the support she needed. Not long ago, Saba addressed her fanbase with a message about the passing of the NHL legend.

She wrote, “Konstantin’s death is an unthinkable tragedy, and while we were no longer together, my heart is broken. Please respect my privacy and his family’s privacy during this difficult time.” While her heart being broken was something fans expected, the fact that they were no longer together threw some fans for a loop.

While it has kicked up a whirlwind of speculation, fans are keeping their distance and giving Saba the time to mourn. As she learns how to deal with such a loss, we will see her play against Paula Badosa in the Miami Open. How will she fare?
