“Like a Big Sister to Me”: Caroline Wozniacki Reveals Her Deep Rooted Connection With Serena Williams

Former world number one Caroline Wozniacki might be one of the toughest opponents to face on a tennis court, but she is equally fun and cheerful off the court.
Wozniacki was able to maintain good relationships with all of her fellow players during her career. In a recent interview, the Dane was questioned on her friendships with top players like Serena Williams, Agnieszka Radwanska, Angelique Kerber, and others.

Both Serena Williams and Caroline Wozniacki have shared a special bond over the years. Wozniacki referred to Serena as a fierce competitor on-court, but a great friend off the court.
“ I think my parents always taught me to have fun, enjoy your life, be nice and polite to other people, and that the way you are outside the court is much more important than your success and everything else on the court,” Wozniacki said.

“Serena is amazing. I love her and you know, she is such a fierce competitor, but she is such a great friend. And she really, you know, is like a big sister to me. And it’s really great that when you need someone, I know who to call and she is like the best person to call,” Wozniacki added.
The former world number one also talked about her friendship with former Polish tennis player, Agnieszka Radwanska.

“Aga, just had a child by the way, which is kind of incredible. Yeah, we have a great group of friends that we hang out with,” concluded Wozniacki.
The way Wozniacki balanced competition and friendships on tour has to be an inspiration for the younger lot since most of them are focused on their game alone without bothering about building relationships off the court. But a few top players like Naomi Osaka, Iga Swiatek, and Ash Barty are trying to break the jinx through social media.
