Chris Evert’s ex-husband Andy Mill wanted to have a daughter with a strong backhand

The 18-time Grand Slam champion Chris Evert had three sons with her former husband and Olympic skier, Andy Mill. However, their marriage ended after being together for almost two decades. Despite the sore end to their relationship, when they were expecting their first baby, Mill wanted to have a baby girl. Justifying his desire, he said, “Originally I wanted a little girl with a ponytail and a two-handed backhand.” However, Evert did not undermine her son’s capabilities and said, “(Alex is) physically very strong. I mean, you can tell by the grip.”

And he shared Evert’s apprehensions too and said, “I foresee the day when I want to take him on my Harley and Chrissie’s going to say, ‘No. Let’s wait another six months.’ Or when I want to take him skiing.”
