Former world no.1 and 23-time grand slam champion Serena Williams is enjoying off-court time with family as she posts regular snippets over her bonding time with husband Alexis Ohanian Jr. and daughter, Olympia.

Recently, the American took her daughter to shopping as they try on new clothes and shoes. Olympia, who has become the internet’s favorite child for her banter with mother Serena, appears to be trying on a pair of shoes with her mother watching.

“Come on, little missie girl”, said Serena as she watches Olympia try on one of her shoes. The clips were posted on the American’s Instagram stories. Earlier today, the 23-time grand slam champion attended the US grand prix.

Also from Serena’s stories, the American was seen trying on a few vintage dresses as she claimed that she would never fit into any of them. Making the most of her off-court time, the 23-time major winner appears to be completely immersed in family commitments.

Tennis wise, the American had a tough year on the WTA tour, where she managed to reach the semi-finals at Australian Open and couldn’t perform to her expectations at Roland Garros and Wimbledon.

Ever since winning the 2017 Australian Open by defeating sister Venus Williams in the final, Serena played several championship matches but couldn’t win any of them as the hunt for 24th major continues for the American legend.

Serena’s injury-plagued 2021 season forces her to make a comeback at the Australian Open next year

While SW19 appeared to give a better platform for Serena to win another major title, her run was cut short due to an ankle injury she suffered during the opening round matchup against Aliaksandra Sasnovich.

With huge expectations riding on her whenever she steps on a tennis court, it must be difficult for Serena Williams to balance the hopes of fans with the kind of tennis she wants to play.

Despite having the game and hunger to win more slams, the American is facing stiff competition from the rising youngsters on the WTA tour.

As the WTA tour is coming to an end this year, fans will get to see Serena Williams participate at the Australian Open next year.
