In the post-match interview, following her win against Sloane Stephens, Danielle Collins came ahead and showed her love to represent her country at one of the biggest sporting events across the world. “I would love nothing more to represent my country. My favorite memories on the court are honestly the weeks at the Billie Jean King Cup. There’s nothing, nothing like it. And especially being on the team with, you know, these women that I’ve known for a very long time, Jess and I are the same age and close friends, and, Maddie Keys and I have known each other since we were, like, 8 or 9 years old, and we used to be pen pals, and then, you know, with Coco and Emma and them being a little bit younger over the last couple of years, really got to know Coco well and spent time with her and, you know, Emma and I went to the same school, and so,” said Danielle Collins in the post-match interview.
