Sloane Stephens talks about self-care

During a recent interview with WTA, 29-year-old American tennis player Sloane Stephens talked about implementing various techniques in her life to stay healthy. I love self-care; I love taking care of myself. I think like for me the biggest thing is feeling good. Obviously, when you play a sport, you travel all the world like the feelings that you feel when you are traveling are very important like when you are away from home, like managing that,” Stephens said.

“I love like meditating; I love just like stretching with my trainer; I love quiet time. Those are all things that I have kind of implemented into my work life… when I feel super anxious or I feel like overwhelmed, I like to do like deep breathing meditation, that helps me a lot just personally. Like when the anxiety gets high… I need to take a minute and I always tell my coaches, my team, I need a break, because my heart is racing… I love deep breathing and I love making my team do it,” Stephens further said.
