‘Love the Word Inclusive’- Serena Williams’ Inspiring Initiative Is All Set to Make New Waves in the Fashion World

Serena Williams is one of the best tennis players ever. The 40-year-old is a global celebrity and has a huge fan following. Having made her mark in tennis, the American is also one of the richest sportsperson; an active investor who is acing it as a businesswoman too.

Owing to her brilliant fashion sense, the legendary tennis player decided to start her own clothing brand with the name S by Serena. She presented her new line of clothing at the New York Fashion Week.

Serena believes in an inclusive fashion

In the show, Serena presented her clothing line in a different way. The models were of different ethnic backgrounds and represented the diversity of women. Speaking about the same, the 40-year-old said,

“I love the word inclusive and I wanna kind of stop using the word exclusive when it comes to fashion. It was something new. We wanted to work on this collection and show the diversity of women of all colors and all backgrounds and all sizes and just beautiful women, so it was very important to me.”

Further, she explained the idea behind the unique concept.

“I think every woman matters, everybody matters. It’s so important that we just kind of be nice to each other and support each other. That’s what it should be all about,” she added.

It’s definitely a great initiative from Serena, with a beautiful social message added to it.

Serena Williams made a comeback to the game after a long hiatus of almost one year. The 40-year-old returned to the tour with the Wimbledon Championships 2022. However, it did not go well for the American as she crashed out after a first-round defeat. Playing against Harmony Tan of France, the 23-time Grand Slam champion was not at her best. Although she gave a tough fight to her 24-year-old opponent, she could not end up on the winning side.

However, the American was confident about her game and also hinted at playing in the US Open later this year. Serena sits second on the list of most Grand Slam victories.
