Caroline Wozniacki, the Danish tennis professional, achieved a career highest ranking of world no.1 in 2010. Thereafter, she clinched her first Grand Slam title at the Australian Open in 2018. She retired in 2020 with 30 career titles under her wing. Although Wozniacki has said goodbye to tennis, she maintains strong bond with her fans through social media, thus making them a part of her life.

Recently, the Danish ace attended Met Gala along with her husband David Lee and shared an array of posts and stories on Instagram.

Wozniacki first attended Met Gala in the year 2016 and after almost six years, she graced the red carpet again. She wore a red satin gown from the Colombian designer Juan Carlos Obando. For this year, she shined in Christian Siriano’s blue outfit. Wozniacki, while getting ready for the night, shared a story comparing her makeup with the one she was supposed to carry and jokingly asked, “Who wore it better?”

Later, she shared a post appreciating her makeup artist, hairdresser and the costume designer and wrote,A little glam spam loved the pearls and crystals around my eyes. Thank you to the best team!!”

Following that, husband and former NBA star David Lee shared pictures with wife from the event and wrote,What a special night! ” The couple tied the knot in the year 2019 and welcomed their daughter Olivia Wozniacki Lee in June 2021.

Wozniacki’s Farewell Match

Wozniacki retired in 2020 and was supposed to play a match in her homeland to give a proper farewell to her splendid tennis career. However, due to the pandemic, the last match got delayed.

After a wait of almost two years, the former world no.1 played her last game against a friend and fellow tennis player, Angelique Kerber. On 9th February 2022, at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen in the presence of her family, friends and fans, she marked an end to her glorious tennis career.

Wozniacki played her last professional match at the Australian open 2020. She trashed her first two opponents in straight sets. However, the Tunisian tennis ace Ons Jabeur ended her run in the third round.
