Even though Rybakina possesses an incredible all-round game, Jabeur’s dominating form could be troublesome for the Kazakh player. Let’s see how the match progressed.
Jabeur demonstrated skill right from the start as she mixed regular baseline game with surprising drop shots that worked well for her so far in the tournament. Irrespective of the result, the Tunisian player never hesitated to play differently and this aggressive attitude on-court proved fruitful on many occasions.
Even today, Rybakina’s game wasn’t sufficient for Jabeur as she began to dominate with her all-round play and took away a break point from her opponent. A couple of breaks were exchanged between the two players in the first set. But, Jabeur did well enough to break Rybakina‘s serve once again towards the tail end of the first set.
