Serena Williams has come under the radar for doping quite a few times in the past. However, there was a huge uproar when her fans demanded an apology from Chris Evert and Pam Shriver for what they had said. They both indirectly indicated Williams’ intake of banned substances.

Moreover, ESPN’s Pam Shriver said, “It’s almost like she has taken something that makes her feel dizzy, disoriented, and she cannot reach up and strike the ball.

These comments made Williams’ fans furious. They accused two of them of making irresponsible comments and asked them to issue a formal apology.

Both the players have had some tough rivalry with the 23-time Grand Slam champion. In 2020, the Russian player, Maria Sharapova was banned because of testing positive for doping.
