Naomi Osaka gets candid as she talks about her take on social media

Dr. Brian hosted a live interview from the US Open at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. At the interview, Naomi was asked about what her experience has been with social media being potentially harmful as she is an active user.

To which she responded, “I definitely got very scared of social media. I also try not to look at comments and it makes me sad because there are also people giving me positive messages, so it’s a little sad, I feel to miss out on them. But I think for my mental health potentially seeing something really bad, it’s not worth it.

Her response clearly shows the two sides of social media for public personalities. It indicates that even though there are a lot of people supporting you and cheering for you, even a handful of negative comments can make it all go nasty.

This is why people like Naomi who cannot have a private profile have to sideline themselves to a certain extent.

Further, he also added that even though his social media represents him ‘as he is’, still he gets harassed by people on the internet. He has had people talk wrong about his kids and family. This downside of social media has him on the edge so he tries not to read comments.
