With the genes of Serena Williams in her body, Olympia is surely going places in the realm of sports, especially if she decides to build a career in it. Alexis Ohanian himself is a huge sports enthusiast. However, both parents hope for their favorite sport to become Olympia’s preferred one. Ohanian is quite hooked on golf nowadays, so he introduced Olympia to the same. However, he did not know that she was going to like it as much as him. And now he is worried about if she is going to go for an individual sport.

Earlier it was Serena Williams who was worrying because Olympia was into soccer more than tennis. Seems like the tables have turned now. The Reddit co-founder has recently found out that Olympia can shift her allegiance from soccer.

Alexis Ohanian is worried that the genes of Serena Williams are affecting her love for team sport

The Reddit co-founder is a huge soccer fan. Moreover, he is the leading investor of the NWSL club Angel City FC. Therefore, he is quite worried about seeing Olympia doing well in an individual sport. Obviously, Serena Williams reigned over the tennis world and the influence seems to be working on her daughter too.

Recently, Ohanian took Olympia to teach her how to hold a club and play golf. Seems like she is a quick learner, however, now Ohanian has got something to worry about. Giving words to his worry, he stated, “I’m hoping it’s a team sport like her papa but we’ll see! She seems to really like the solo sports…mama genes strong.” 

Olympia has showcased her talent in soccer multiple times. However, now that she has a golf club in her hands, her individual sports genes are showing their results.

Despite trying to hold in his emotions, Ohanian is jealous of her choosing an individual sport over a team, which means soccer is taking a backseat for now.

Seems like Williams can finally breathe a sigh of relief now. Even if she is not tilting towards tennis, atleast soccer is out of the picture for now. Williams used to get jealous when she saw Olympia kicking a soccer ball. Like every tennis fan, she believed that, eventually, she would land on a tennis racquet.
