The Czech-American tennis legend Martina Navratilova and her wife Julia Lemigova got off to the worst possible start in 2023. After all, Navratilova was diagnosed with two types of cancer. However, things have drastically changed for the couple following the 59-time Grand Slam champion’s successful recovery from both cancers after undergoing months of treatment. Now that Navratilova’s finally free from the clutches of the deadly disease, she seems to be getting closer to the sport she so dearly loves and enjoys. Unsurprisingly, Lemigova has been in good spirits recently.

In a recent Instagram post, Lemigova shared a cute video of her walking her and Navratilova’s pet dog. Through the post, she also revealed that the couple are currently in Paris, where Navratilova is part of The Tennis Channel’s coverage of the 2023 French Open.

Navratilova and Lemigova own an incredibly cute pet dog, a miniature dachshund. They’ve named the dog Loulou, and for the married couple, Loulou’s nothing short of a queen. As a result, they decided to take Loulou to Paris with them.

Navratilova’s stay in Paris will be quite busy, as she’s going to cover this year’s edition of the French Open in its entirety as a commentator and an analyst for The Tennis Channel. However, Lemigova has a lot of spare time on her hands, and she is using it to great effect, as she introduces Loulou to the picturesque Parisian streets.

In her Instagram post, Lemigova shared a glimpse of what it’s like to walk a dog on the streets of Paris. She also gave some context to her post. “And of course can’t forget about the queen loulou on her daily walk to the courts.”

From cancer to commentary, it’s been one rollercoaster of a year so far for Martina Navratilova

January 2023 saw Navratilova diagnosed with both breast and throat cancers. Her cancer diagnosis shook Lemigova to the core. The former model publicly came out a month ago regarding her feelings in the aftermath of Navratilova’s diagnosis. However, thankfully for the couple, Navratilova is cancer-free once more. Furthermore, recently she stated that she is doing fine following months of treatment.

Navratilova’s cancer-free state has given her the chance to return to the tennis world as a commentator and analyst. Over the years, Navratilova’s style of commentary has earned her many admirers. Her distinct style of commentating is generally warm and pleasant. However, if she needs to be critical, she certainly can be brutally honest.
