“Men Don’t Handle It the Same Way”- French Open Winner Ana Ivanović Says What Serena Williams Has Done Is Going to Be Very Hard to Repeat

The Serbian tennis star, Ana Ivanović has been admired by the tennis community for her achievements on the court from a very young age. The former world No. 1 tennis player stunned the fans when she clinched the Fench Open title when she was just 20 years old. However, even a top WTA star like Ivanović herself has been stunned by the iconic achievements of the American tennis star, Serena Williams.

The former French Open champion further lavished praise on the 23-time singles Grand Slam champion’s legacy in the realm of tennis. While Ivanović also compared women’s tennis with men’s in terms of handling pressure during their performances on the court.

Ana Ivanović lavished praise on Serena Williams

The Serbian tennis star was recently featured in a podcast where she talked about various aspects of her on and off-court journey. Meanwhile, Ana Ivanović revealed that she believes that there is a huge difference between men’s game and women’s when it comes to performing under pressure. She went on to say that there is a lot more pressure on women tennis players. Ivanović added they have to face a lot more pressure in order to stay on top.

She further stated, “Men don’t handle it the same way. I think like of course women we are making more emotional. So it is it is very, very challenging.”

Ivanović expressed her opinion on how the game is much more challenging for female tennis athletes.

Later on, she also mentioned the name of the American tennis legend, Serena Williams while talking about her achievements. Ivanović added, “So I think what Serena achieved it’s it’s great, you know, and it’s going to be very hard to to repeat. “

The former tennis player also believes that the game has changed so much as it was for her. Ivanović stated that social media influencer has hugely affected the players. She went on to say that players have to have more challenges because of the influence of social media platforms.

During the podcast, the former Serbian tennis player was also asked about the current generation of players on the WTA tour. Ivanović answered by saying that she has been following some of the most exciting players on the tour. She mentioned the name of the Spanish tennis player, Paula Badosa while praising her.
